Community Garden Project
Proposal Gardening together is just the beginning of a project that could mean many things to the local community. Strong communities are vital to face the uncertainties the future holds, both economically and environmentally. By working together to create these spaces we can engage local people, adults and children, to become involved, get together and positively make the most of their surroundings. Surely there can be no more important skill than food cultivation, but growing vegetables would only be the foundation to providing other benefits for local people including: active horticulture, physical activity, nature appreciation, skills development, esteem building, interaction, peace and spirituality, tranquillity, recovery, rehabilitation, acceptance, transforming neglected areas, and even employment.
